GetSATMath ("we", "us") provides free SAT Math practice at getsatmath.com. This page explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
You can use GetSATMath as a guest with no signup. If you choose to create an account, or if you use the site as a guest, we collect:
- Account information: if you sign up, your name and email address. If you use the site as a guest, we assign an anonymous device/browser identifier so your progress can be saved and later linked to a real account if you choose to sign up.
- Practice activity: the questions you attempt, your answers, scores, and timing, so we can grade your work and show your history.
- Usage analytics: pages visited, general location (country/region), device type, and how you interact with the site, via Google Analytics (see "Analytics" below).
We do not collect payment information — GetSATMath is free and does not process payments.
How we use your information
- To run the core product: grading your practice sets, saving your history, and letting you review past attempts.
- To let a teacher account view aggregate progress for students they're responsible for, where that relationship has been explicitly set up.
- To understand which content and features are useful, using aggregated, anonymized analytics.
- To communicate with you about your account, if you've provided an email address (e.g. password reset emails).
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Where your data is stored
GetSATMath is built on Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore database), which stores and processes data on Google Cloud infrastructure under Google's own security and privacy practices.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate site usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages viewed, time on site, and general device/location information. This data is aggregated and used to improve the site; it is not used to personally identify you. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising
GetSATMath displays advertising through Google AdSense on non-test pages (ads are never shown on the active test-taking screen). Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses data from advertising partners at Google's Partner Sites policy, and manage your ad personalization settings at Google Ads Settings.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for: keeping you signed in, remembering your progress, analytics (Google Analytics), and — where enabled — advertising (Google AdSense). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect site functionality like staying signed in.
Children's privacy
GetSATMath is intended to help students preparing for the SAT, many of whom are minors. We do not knowingly collect more information from a child than is necessary to provide the practice and grading features described above, and we do not use behavioral advertising targeted at children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information beyond what's needed for the service, contact us using the details below and we will review and delete it as appropriate.
Your choices
- You can use GetSATMath as a guest without providing any personal information beyond an anonymous session identifier.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated practice history at any time by contacting us.
- You can opt out of analytics and ad personalization using the links above.
